Please remember that however hot you feel outside is much worse for your dog. They don't sweat to lower their body temperature and they have no protection for those paws. Particularly on the blacktop on streets, the heat on their paws will burn them. Feel the street you're taking them on before you ask them to walk on it. If it burns your hand, it will burn their paws. And they have no way to tell you. Please keep them inside ,with air conditioning if possible, during this extreme heat. Make sure they have plenty of water and do not expect or make them walk at a fast pace in this heat. To give them potty breaks, make them very short and hopefully somewhere that won't burn their paws. Also sunscreen is mandatory for short hair breeds, particularly on their exposed areas ie their tummies, if they're going to expose them to the sun. Thanks.
