Every July 4th, dogs get our and run awsay or get lost due to the fright they experience during fireworks. Please keep the dogs close at hand or make sure they're secure in the house. I found a dog one July 4th weekend, took him in and called the number on his tag. It was obviously a land line and the owners weren't home. When I left them a message that I had their dog, they didn't get it until two days later when they returned from their day away. They were very relieved to have him back but realized he'd jumped a very tall fence, which he'd never done before. Have a wonderful holiday but safety first for all our four legged friends!
